Stepping into their roles, the student leaders from the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) took their oaths during the university-wide oath-taking ceremony on June 30, 2025, at the Chapel of Holy Guardian Angels.

The ceremony symbolizes the attestation of SBA student group leaders to their respective duties and responsibilities, and their commitment to promoting the welfare of the student body.

The oath for the SBA student government was administered by the OIC President, Leopoldo Jaime Nepomuceno-Valdes, with the officers vowing to perform their duties with utmost dedication and fidelity while maintaining honesty, integrity, and dignity as student leaders.

To administer their oaths, the Assistant to the President and Vice President for Organization Development, Ms. Edna Marissa Santos, led the SBA officers as they pledged to uphold their organizations’ mission and protect the good name of their respective organizations.

Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and Auditors – United (JPIAA-U) and Management Society (ManSoc) are also recognized in the oath-taking ceremony as representatives of the student organizations under the SBA.

Lastly, the Vice President for External Affairs, Mr. Robert Tatingco, presided over the oath-taking of the SBA official publication, The Enterprise. The editorial board of the publication swore to honor the highest standards of professional journalism, aim for excellence in journalistic writing, and use campus journalism as a means to improve the University.

Further, the Commission of Election Chairman and Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Arnold Alejo Nunag and Mr. Paul Ernest Carreon, respectively, assisted in the calling of the student group leaders. The Office of Student Affairs Director, Ms. Iris Ann Castro, was also present at the oath-taking ceremony.

As for the program proper, accountancy students – Malthine Valiente and Angel Joy Subalisid hosted the program. With the cooperation of the members of the Commission on Election and High Court to assist in the execution of the event.

In line with the missions of the organizations and publications, SBA student leaders are expected to fulfill their roles by prioritizing the interests of the SBA community, embodying authentic leadership.
