The College Student Council – School of Business and Accountancy (CSC–SBA) hosted its third press conference for the academic year 2025-2026 on November 26, at the Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN) Room 810.

Governor Harvey Sanchez, along with Councilors Ashley Nicdao and Ernest Suing, opened the press conference and highlighted the council’s major accomplishments. This includes the Class President League (CPL) of the semesters and key initiatives for the coming term.

From November 10 to 17, the CSC-SBA completed class president appointments and re-elections, as well as a CPL Assembly to discuss rules and assignments.

The council also reported outcomes from recent team-building initiatives, including activities on November 5 for junior leaders, core officers, and faculty. The Events Rules and Regulations (ERR) Reading and Team Building events on November 6 and 7, in partnership with the University Student Council (USC), were also communicated.

Further, during the Paskong Angelite Christmas Fair on November 25, the CSC–SBA participated in four events and won the Broomstick Brilliance Award for its potion-making entry.

Meanwhile, Nicdao announced the upcoming launch of the improved Raise a Fin feedback system and confirmed the finalized design of the SBA Bulletin Board, pending funding.

At the same time, the governor provided updates on University Days (UDays), noting that screening and tryouts were nearly complete. He also explained that new measures will encourage student participation, including a one-week registration and submission period.

Consequently, Sanchez discussed the recruitment of junior leaders to strengthen council manpower. Currently, 139 junior leaders (JLs) have been given the option to stay or resign as structural adjustments were implemented.

Second-semester activities will include the Prelims Bridging Program, CPL meetings, the 2nd CPL Assembly, Alon: The Dolphin Leaders Award, and participation in UDays and Love Fest.

The council will also continue community service through the Bigay Puso project, partnering with the school dean and staff to collect funds and provide rice donations.

The conference concluded with closing remarks from Sanchez, who emphasized accountability and the importance of achieving council goals.

The fourth press conference, along with follow-up CPL meetings, is expected to take place in February.
